In 1975, the areas of Bytom and Radzionków Coal Mines were combined, creating the mine we know today. It was put into liquidation in 1999, but the final date is assumed to be 2001. Partial exploration of seam 620 led to the mine reopening in 2011. This small plant, with around 300 workers mining between 150 000 and 180 000 tonnes a year, works until peasant day.
