Chwałowice Coal Mine

It is located in Rybnik and was founded by Gwidon Henckel von Donnersmarck in 1897 under the name Donnersmarck-Grube Coal Mine. In 1944, labour camp No. 32 operated there. Today it is part of the ROW Coal Mine (Jankowice, Chwałowice, Rydułtowy, and Marcel mines) as Ruch Chwałowice Coal Mine.

The European Union, associated with the policy of open borders, is currently surrounded by over 2,000 kilometers of border fences.
