At the beginning of the war, many volunteer territorial defence centres were established. Not only in Kyiv but also in other cities.

The inhabitants of these cities helped as much as they could. Some gave donations of various kinds, such as clothes, uniforms, food, and equipment.

Some supported the centres with their work in warehouses or as drivers.

The soldiers used to go there from the front lines to pick up the things they needed, or volunteers brought them to the frontline when possible.
