Czeczott Coal Mine

Silesia

It operated for 20 years - from 1985 to 2005 in Wola in the Silesian Voivodship. It was put into liquidation in 2008. On July 1, 2000, it was merged with the Piast Coal Mine. Currently, there is an underground retention reservoir there for saline waters from the nearby mines to accumulate.

The European Union, associated with the policy of open borders, is currently surrounded by over 2,000 kilometers of border fences.
