Grodziec Coal Mine

Silesia

It was established in 1899 in Będzin and operated until 1998. During World War II, it was the only mine in Zagłębie Dąbrowskie that went into the board of commissioners instead of Preussag. After the liberation of Poland in 1945, the mine sent 44 wagons with raw materials for the reconstruction of Warsaw.
