Jaworzno Coal Mine (today it operates as KWK Sobieski Coal Mine)

Silesia

Founded on the initiative of earl Moszyński in 1792, it belonged to many entities, e.g. Duchy of Warsaw or the Free City of Krakow. In 1999, it was shut, and its assets were taken over by the newly established Sobieski Coal Mine, which is still operating today.

The European Union, associated with the policy of open borders, is currently surrounded by over 2,000 kilometers of border fences.
