The Mexican Revolution
An armed uprising of the Mexicans which took place in 1910. Initially, it was about overthrowing the government of the dictator Porfirio Díaz. The representatives of all sections of society participated in the revolution, but the peasant leaders Emiliano Zapata and Pancho Villa became its symbols. During that time, there were numerous political and social changes. The revolution ended with the signing of a new Mexican constitution in 1917, which is valid till this day.
