“Sovetskoye Igristoye”
A brand of sparkling wine that was sold in the USSR since 1937 (it was labelled then as Sovetskoye Shampanskoye). It is still produced in Russia. The wine was produced using the Charmat method, although the wines produced by the traditional method of secondary fermentation in bottles were also made under this name. At the end of the 1950s, the process of production was automated. Since then the process of secondary fermentation took place in the "uninterrupted stream", and not in the vats. The wine was put through subsequent reservoirs at a constant speed and thus obtained bubbles. It allowed accelerating the production cycle of sparkling wine.
