Pedro Kuczynski

A son of a Polish-German immigrant of Jewish descent. In the past he used to work for the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. Kuczynski is an author of a few books on the economy of South America. Between 2005 and 2006 he was Peru’s Prime Minister. In 2016 he was elected the country’s president. On November 14th 2017 it was revealed that Kuczynski’s company, Westfield Capital Ltd, had allegedly accepted 782.000 US dollars from a construction company Odebrecht. The remuneration was paid for Kuczynski’s consulting services for the company, while he was Peru’s Minister of Finance.
