During a speech delivered at his Justice and Development Party’s (AKP) provincial general congress in the city of Samsun, March 24, 2018, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said: “We will find these terrorist students by means of footage and will do what is necessary. We won’t give these communists, traitors the right to study at these universities. These are terrorist youth. We will catch those marginals by the ear and hurl them to the ground.”
