Crimean Solidarity

On 9 April 2016 in Sevastopol, an organization monitoring the human rights after the annexation - Crimea Contact Group for Human Rights - organized a meeting of all Muslim families whose relatives were arrested in the Crimea. It was the beginning of the Crimean Solidarity. Over the time it expanded its activity and started to help not only the families accused of belonging to the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization, but also the families of all other political prisoners in Crimea, as well as the relatives of kidnapped and missing Muslims. - The authorities divide us into Muslims they accept and Muslims they do not accept. The first group is represented by Mufti controlled by the Russians (the religious leader), the latter are activists who disagree with Russian politics. Our religion does not allow us to be unconcerned if we meet someone in need - said in March 2017 the representative of the Crimean Solidarity, an organization that legally and financially helps the families of the accused ones.
