The Democratic Union Party (PYD)

The largest Kurdish party in Syria, established in 2003. It governs with other parties in the northern part of the country, in the territories of the Democratic Federation of Northern Syria (more information on Democratic Federation of Northern Syria can be found in the next tag). PYD appeals to the democratic values and social justice.
