Istanbul Modern

According to its website, the Istanbul Modern annually draws between 500,000 and 600,000 visitors on average. That figure is quite low when compared with admission figures for even the Mevlana Museum, or the Topkapı Palace, let alone another museum from its own league such as New York City’s MoMA, which is among the top 20 art museums worldwide. Istanbul Modern is only capable of attracting less than a quarter of the number of visitors MoMA annually receives on average.
