Other Georgian reformers

In December 2014, the “Saakashvili team” entered the Ukrainian structure of authorities. Eka Zguladze, who had the experience of reforming the Georgian police, became the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs. She was also responsible for reforming the militia and transforming it into a new police force. Chatia Dekanoidze became the chief of aforementioned police in spring 2015 but she resigned after a year and a half complaining about the political pressure. Zguladze resigned in April 2016. In February 2015, Saakashvili's adviser became the deputy prosecutor general. He was running a case against a corrupt so-called “diamond prosecutors” and he came into a major conflict with his boss Victor Shokin. As a result, both resigned in spring 2016. Along with the appointment of Saakashvili to the position of the Governor of Odessa Oblast, Giorgi Lortkipanidze became the chief of police there.
