DACA

DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) is a program introduced in 2012 during the presidency of Barack Obama. People who were under the age of 16 when they illegally entered the territory of the United States got the temporary right to live, study and work. Applicants had to be under 31 years of age, without a criminal record. Students, graduates or soldiers were preferred. They were entitled to a temporary residence for two years with the possibility of extension. During that time, they received, among others, a work permit, they could make a driving licence and continue their education. Over 800,000 young people benefited from the program. https://content.outride.rs/en/mexico-will-fight-for-the-dreamers/
